This website is so much more than just a website! It’s a registry of important and publicly accessible data that is easy to search and download. Check out these three ways to explore this robust set of data.

  1. Map
  2. Site search
  3. Species search

Also, explore the About and Get Involved tabs at the top of the page to learn about what KBAs are, and how to get involved in identification, or how to use the tools above for conservation action.

Downloading data

You can download data at the Site Search and Map Viewer pages. Subset the dataset by using the filters on the side of the page, or download all available data by leaving all filters empty. Click the blue “Download” button and fill the short contact form to have immediate access to spatial data and a spreadsheet with detailed KBA information. If you have more detailed data needs, reach out to us at kba@kbacanada.org.
